Biography
St. Damasus I served as Pope from 366 to 384 and was instrumental in defining the role of the papacy in the early Church. He advocated for the support of Christian literature and was dedicated to the preservation of the writings of early Church Fathers. His influence contributed significantly to the establishment of the Church's authority and unity during a tumultuous time.
