Biography

St. Colette was a French Franciscan nun who lived as an anchoress before receiving a vision from St. Francis commanding her to reform the Poor Clares. She traveled across Europe founding and reforming convents, restoring the original austerity of the order. She founded 17 new convents and reformed numerous existing ones.
