St. Alban

Feast: June 20

St. Charles Lwanga

Feast: June 3

The chief of the Uganda Martyrs, a young courtier who protected pages from the king's abuse and was burned alive for his faith.

St. Devasahayam Pillai

Feast: January 14

The first Indian layperson to be canonized, a Hindu convert who was martyred for his faith in 18th-century southern India.

St. Elizabeth the New Martyr

Feast: July 18

A Grand Duchess of Russia who became a nun after her husband's murder and founded a convent for the poor.

St. Helena

Feast: August 18

Mother of Emperor Constantine and influential in the establishment of Christianity in the Roman Empire.

St. John Henry Newman

Feast: October 9

An Anglican theologian and cardinal whose conversion to Catholicism shook Victorian England and whose writings profoundly influenced the Second Vatican Council.

St. Jonas

Feast: March 29

St. Jonas is known for being a saint and martyr in the early Christian Church.

St. Margaret Clitherow

Feast: March 25

Margaret Clitherow was a laywoman and martyr recognized for her unwavering commitment to the Catholic faith during the English Reformation.

St. Olga of Kiev

Feast: July 11

The first Christian ruler of Kievan Rus', known for her wisdom and her role in paving the way for her grandson St. Vladimir.

St. Simeon

Feast: February 18

He is known for being the first Christian martyr in Jerusalem.
