A virgin martyr who reportedly defeated a dragon through the sign of the cross.

Biography

Margaret was disowned by her father for her conversion. She was tortured and imprisoned, and according to legend, she was swallowed by a dragon in her cell but emerged unharmed when the cross she held caused the dragon to burst open.
