Biography

St. Maurice was an early Christian martyr and the commander of the Theban Legion in the Roman army. Refusing to participate in pagan sacrifices, he and his fellow soldiers faced execution for their faith. Maurice's steadfastness and leadership in the face of persecution made him a beloved figure and a symbol of military obedience to Christ.
