Biography
St. Josaphat, born in the late 16th century in Ukraine, became an influential archbishop known for his fervent advocacy for the unity of the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches. His dedication in promoting reconciliation and understanding led to his martyrdom in 1623, as he was brutally killed by those opposed to his mission. Celebrated as a saint, he continues to inspire efforts toward ecumenical dialogue and unity among Christians today.
