Biography
St. Jeanne Jugan founded the Little Sisters of the Poor after bringing a blind, paralyzed elderly woman into her own home. Her work grew rapidly as she begged door-to-door to support her growing community of elderly residents. Despite founding the order, she was unjustly removed from leadership and spent her last 27 years in obscurity.
