Biography

St. Gudula was a Frankish noblewoman from Brabant who was educated by her cousin, St. Gertrude of Nivelles. She lived a life of extraordinary piety, walking daily from her home to a church two miles away. She is the patron saint of Brussels, and the city's cathedral is named after her.
