Biography

Born in 1207, Elizabeth was the daughter of the King of Hungary and chose to live a life of poverty despite her royal status. She devoted herself to serving the sick and the poor, famously founding a hospital and providing for many through her own resources. Her unwavering faith and commitment to charity made her a beloved figure, and she was canonized just four years after her death in 1231.
