Biography
St. Daniel Comboni was an Italian priest who devoted his entire life to the evangelization of Central Africa, particularly Sudan. He founded the Comboni Missionaries and the Comboni Missionary Sisters, and became the first Catholic bishop of Central Africa. He died of exhaustion and fever in Khartoum at age 50.
