Biography

St. Maroun was a hermit monk who lived on a mountain in Syria. He was renowned for his healing gifts and spiritual counsel, attracting many followers. After his death, his disciples formed a distinct community that would become the Maronite Church, which remains the spiritual heart of Lebanese Christianity.
