Biography

St. Ansgar was a Frankish monk who became the first Archbishop of Hamburg-Bremen and dedicated his life to evangelizing Scandinavia. He established the first Christian churches in Denmark and Sweden, enduring raids, setbacks, and the destruction of his mission by Vikings. Despite these challenges, he persevered in his missionary work.
