Biography

St. Walburga was an Anglo-Saxon princess who left England to join her brothers Sts. Willibald and Winebald in their missionary work in Germany. She became abbess of the double monastery of Heidenheim and was renowned for her healing powers and educational work. She is one of the most celebrated women missionaries of the 8th century.
