Biography
Peter Kwon Tug-in grew up in a Catholic family in Seoul and was deeply influenced by his mother's religious practice. After her death he married and worked first in his brother's herb shop. He later made crucifixes and religious medals, supporting both his household and church expenses.
Authorities arrested him and his family during the 1839 persecution. Peter refused to disclose other believers' names, explaining that doing so would harm them. The bishops' account notes that making and selling religious articles formed part of the case against him. He was executed with other Catholics in Seoul in May 1839.
