Biography
Joseph Cho Yun-ho was the son of Peter Cho Hwa-so and came from a family with a tradition of Catholic faith. Recently married, he was living with his parents when persecution reached their community. Although his father urged him to escape, Joseph was captured and imprisoned with him.
Father and son encouraged each other, but were executed separately. Joseph refused offers to restore confiscated property in exchange for abandoning Catholicism and was beaten to death at Jeonju in December 1866. The source's age statements are inconsistent, so no age or inferred birth year is supplied. His identity is distinct from both his father and grandfather.
