Biography

Alexander was a brilliant general who defeated the Swedes on the Neva River and the Teutonic Knights on Lake Peipus. He used his diplomatic skills to manage the relationship with the Golden Horde, saving Russia from complete destruction. He took monastic vows on his deathbed.
