Biography

St. Aidan was a monk from Iona who became the first bishop of Lindisfarne. He devoted his life to spreading Christianity in northern England and established the influential monastery on Lindisfarne. Aidan's gentle approach to conversion and his care for the poor made him beloved by the people he served.
