Biography
St. Methodius, together with his brother St. Cyril, is known as one of the Apostles to the Slavs. They created the Glagolitic alphabet to translate Scripture and liturgical texts into Old Church Slavonic, making Christianity accessible to Slavic peoples. Despite opposition from Frankish clergy, Methodius defended the use of the Slavonic liturgy until his death.
