Biography

St. Brigid of Kildare was one of the most remarkable women in Irish history. She founded the monastery of Kildare, which became one of the most prestigious in Ireland, and established a tradition of hospitality and learning. She is one of Ireland's three patron saints alongside St. Patrick and St. Columba.
